Canon, one of the leading maker in camcorders and cameras, has made the ZR830, a portable, light, and compact camcorder.

As with all camcorders, the ZR830 can take pictures as well as take videos. It offers simple controls for plugging in to your computer and outlets. It's sleek, silver design looks great, and its easy to use battery storage and hand strap make it very user friendly.

It produces average picture quality. It doesn't respond too harshly under low light, and it's pretty versatile. Unforunately, with HD products getting more and more popular, the ZR830 seems to be more and more dissapointing in picture quality.

It's image stabilization is okay, but without a tripod, it's difficult to keep your video or picture from becoming a blurry mess.

The battery life is normal for a camcorder, lasting around one-and-a-half hours. It may be small, but the ZR830 comes with another battery as well, so you always have at least one battery at hand.

Overall, the ZR830 is a fine camera, but it won't last long in the market with stroneger and better HD competitors at hand.
