Can't Cook With This, Either By 999frights on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My wife can't cook that well, so I really don't know what I was thinking when I bought her Cooking Mama to play on my DS. Maybe it was because it was Black Friday and it was only $10. That and it was the only ds game the store had left. That should have been a clue.

We had both heard really good things about Cooking Mama for the Wii. All I can say is, don't waste your money on this game if you are an adult. My son is only 6 and he likes playing the game, so I feel it was worth the $10 to buy it.

The game is not challenging at all. You cut and slice and stir things. You only use the stylus for this game. It gets quite boring tapping the screen. If you fail a task, cooking mama's eyes are on fire. You can create new recipes and unlock recipes. None of the recipes sound appetizing and the game will not teach you to cook - not that I expected to teach her to cook. You won't get any cooking tips here and you probably won't enjoy the game - even if you love to cook.
