Christmas is nearing so our house already has some blinking lights and decors. For this year, one of the additions we bought was the capiz Christmas lantern. At first, we just got curious when we saw on TV the different lanterns being sold so hubby and I decided to canvass.

We went to Gilmore where several seasonal vendors are selling different Christmas decors. There is this one quite big capiz lantern that caught our attention. The big white star was placed at the center surrounded by different colors of capiz flowers and lights. When the vendor lighted it up we thought it will gonna fit as a centerpiece in front of the house at the second floor. I just need to surround it with white ordinary Christmas lights to highlight its colors.

I think we got the best price for it as compared buying it in the malls. Such a lantern could cost us 3,000-3,500 pesos. There many balikbayan Filipinos who are buying lanterns to send it abroad to their relatives.
