Capiz Shell Lamp By Crissy Taruc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Philippines has plenty of local products that are world class in quality and design. Be it native footwear, home décor and furniture, etc. One of the raw materials in use to produce quality and great home décor is capiz shells. This material can be used to form different images and can be as colorful as it can be to give the products more attractive in vision. On our house blessing years ago, my husband's high school batch mate residing in Hawaii was one of the guests. She gave to us this simple side table lamp made from capiz shells with white and pink color combination. It is being lighted with the use of a small bulb to be attached on the light socket. When lighted it gives the sala a minor romantic shine perfect when the family is watching TV and a more practical one to use to save electric consumption. The lamp is formed by the use of wires being colored in gold and it is where the capiz shells where attached.

It is truly a great feeling to patronize our own products than even Filipinos living abroad appreciate and love the quality of our local products and take pride with it. Check also my capiz lantern review for another sample.
