Carnival Cruise Line By shelly on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
This was the first cruise I ever went on. We went to Freeport and Nassau Bahamas. It was a lot of fun excluding the company I had with me. The employees aboard this boat really work hard and go out of their way to make your experience a very enjoyable one. Our rooms were ok, they leave a lot to be desired. They could build them and the bathrooms a little bigger where two people can actually find some room to move around. I think the best part of the entire thing was the food. Everything we ate was absolutely fantastic. We went to one of the comedy shows they offered aboard which I believe was the las Vegas show, was absolutely hilarious. There was most definately a lot of adult humor involved in it. Our next cruise will be to the Western Caribbean, the Bahamas wasnt the cleanest place to go.
CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE FANTASY BOAT

This sounds like a good starter cruise. Not that great of a room huh? Well that isn't good. Rooms need to be comfortable and easy to move around in. You don't spend most of your time in the room, so I guess they figured they could take that space and you wouldn't mind because you wouldn't be in there that much.
Sounds like fun! If you every get the chance and like Disney you should try their cruise line. The rooms are bigger!!!
I really want to go on a cruise and if we go, we were going to check on a Carnival cruise. Thanks for the information and I will really look into it and see how the rooms are before we book a trip. Thanks for the warning about the Bahamas as well.
I want to take a cruise so bad, this sounds like so much fun. Thanks
My sister in law took the Carnival cruise to Bermuda. She said it was noisy, the rooms were small and that many of the activities were way too crowded and noisy.
I love cruises but my husband does not care for them :(
I have used them before and had a great time!! And definatly ate waay to much! The food was the best part!
You mentioned that this was your first cruise and although you liked it, things could have been better. I just want you to know that all ships are not craeated equal. Your cruise was on the Carnival Fantasy which is one of the oldes Carnival ships. While it has been refurbished over the years, it is still not on par with many of the newer ships out there. Yes most have small basic cabins but some are better than others. I have been on several of the Carnival ships and they do vary. For the money cruising is still one of the best reavel deals out there. I hope you give it a try again on another ship by Carnival or another company. If you try Disney, they have some of the largest basic cabins and bathrooms. Most rooms even have a split bathroom plan so 2 people can get ready at the same time.
this sounds like a nice cruise....it would be fun for most i am sure--i am not sure how i would do!
We went on a western Caribbean cruise a few years ago on the Jubilee. It was just OK. We decided that cruising was not out "thing" . Our stateroom was supposed to be an upgrade from an interior to an exterior, but they put us right over the propellers or something. It was so noisy when the ship was moving the room shook.
