Reviewing: Carole King Tapestry

Since I first heard my sister's copy of Carole King's album, Tapestry, I was hooked. She got it when it first came out in 1971 and I loved listening to it every time she played it. I think pretty much everyone who heard this album, fell in love with her voice and have a favorite song or two. I admit I do have a select few that are my absolute favorites, but over all, there isn't a track on this I didn't like.Even though I do have a album collection ranging roughly from the 60's to the 90's, I'm sad to say I don't have a original copy in that collection. I did get a copy of the cd which in itself has a bonus that the original didn't have. It has 2 previously unreleased bonus tracks with a foreward from James Taylor, another favorite singer / songwriter of mine. Which are :

* Out in the Cold

* Smackwater Jack

But the real reason to buy this one is for songs like this:

* I Feel The Earth Move

* So Far Away

* You've Got A Friend

* Home Again

* Beautiful

* Where You Lead

That's just to name a few, there are 14 tracks total on this re-mastered release. So whether you are a long time fan of Carole King, or just discovering her music, I recommend Tapestry as a definite "must have" for your collection.
