Carpet Shark, One Of The Big Fish! By Demon_Buttercup on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I LOVE the Carpet Shark! The price could not be beat, but I will say it is normally $20, the $10 price was from a Black Friday sale. You could not find a more versatile, powerful product for a similar price. Yes, I AM saying the Carpet Shark CANNOT be beat. Comes with a long narrow attachment for those hard to reach places, but my favorite is the floor attachement, it works on my hardwood floors and doesn't leave a mark! It is on a long handle that can also be detached to be used as a handheld vacuum which works well with carpeted stairways. The suction power is terrific, it can hold a shoe! One of the only things I do not like about the Carpet Shark is empty it and dealing with the filter, it is kind of icky. The filter is made of a cloth like material and it seems dog hair loves to cling to it. With 2 dogs and a cat, I have a lot hair, so that means a lot of extra minutes spent pulling dog hair off the filter. Filters are replaceable, but I haven't been able to find them in the store, only directly through the company.

Nothing like a bargain! This sounds like a winner. I have a Shark that I got from Overstock and it is not so great; it's also missing an attachment (and their "customer service" basically said "so what?") but it's lighter than my really good vacuum, which means I can do some cleaning on bad days!
Is this an electric broom type sweeper? I'd hate to think I just paid so much for a vacuum when they were cheaper ones and that work well! lol Sounds great. I always like the smaller sweepers. So light!
This sounds good for the stairs - nice and lightweight.
the old flea market sales are my favorites . Good find!:)
I think I just found the perfect gift for my step mom she has had surgery on her wrists (both of them ) and she needs a light weight vacum this sounds perfect .Thank you for sharing.
Sounds nice except for cleaning out the filter.
Hey, what's not to like about a vacuum with a name like Shark!? These only cost $20 and actually work? Good golly! I may have to get one.
sounds pretty good. I hate filters also though.
