Cartoon Art Museum In San Francisco By May Monten on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is a museum that both adults and children will enjoy.

It's downtown on Mission Street, betwen 2nd and 3rd Streets, around the corner from the Museum of Modern Art. It's not a big museum -- it's just a few rooms.

I went there for the first time recently. At the time of my visit, they had several special exhibits -- an exhibit of political cartoons, one of stills from Disney films, and one of Edward Gorey's designs for the play "Dracula."

You can find out what the current exhibits are on the museum's website at http://cartoonart.org/exhibits.html

This is not the kind of museum that takes all day. You can fit it in with other things that you might want to do in the neighborhood.
