Cash from Square Foot Gardening - Maybe Not

Mel Bartholomews second book on his gardening phenomenon, Cash from Square Foot Gardening attempts to ride the wave of success from his first book.However, it falls short in several areas.

First, there are no real improvements over the methods from the first book.Much of the first few chapters covers the same material, as if we had not read the first book.This is unfortunate, because most readers of this book probably have both.We did.

The suppositon of this book is a little stale as well.Granted, it was written some time ago, but Mel would have us to believe we could earn a part-time, possibly full-time income from our square foot garden plot.However, once you start the calculations, you will find that this is impractical for most people.High aspirations are left out to wilt in the heat on this one.

I give Mel a C+, only for effort.Its a nice try, but honestly, unless you live in a very organic concious neighborhood, youre probably not going to make much cash, if any, from your garden.
