Castles Building Cards By donnabc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Well, we are fans of Klutz and let me just say they did it again:0) This cool little kit comes with tons of pre-cut cardboard “cards” that can be fastened together in just about any which way to make a really cool castle!
My son saw this kit at Barnes and Nobles and asked for it for about two months straight before I'd let him get it. I kept telling him $13 was too much for a bunch of printed cardboard! But each time we went to the store, he would gravitate to the Klutz display and pick it up and study it…..and yes whine about wanting it:0) Finally I told him if he wanted it, then he could save his allowance and buy it. Well he saved his allowance, and saved his allowance and finally bought it. And I have to say it was money well spent. The cardboard is not flimsy. It held up well and he took about and put together the castle cards many, many times to make all kinds of buildings and castles.
For those kids who have a thing about castles, like my son, I highly recommend this kit for hours of fun:0) ….there is also a really cool pirate ship one (it was a hard decision to choose for us).
Klutz Building Cards Purchased at: Barnes and Nobles Price: $13

I commend you Donna for making him save for it. We started early with our boys, and it is surprising how quickly they learned to be discriminating about their wants. Now as teens, they are VERY careful about their choices, because they have to buy, not me.
This sounds like a really fun kit to assemble a castle. I think it's a good idea for children to save for something they really want. They will appreciative what they have and learn how to manage the money they save.
I remember being a kid and enjoyed this kind of activity. Glad to hear that it is worth every penny
I have never seen these, but they sound really intriguing. I'll have to look for them, because I like to find new things that are really interesting or a bit different.
wow, never saw the comments triple like that before. I guess I had to have spelling errors as well, didn't I?
Sounds like the child made a good purchase!
This sounds very nice. I think my boys would love it! Thanks so much for sharing your experience.
Very cool. I've seen these and wondered if they were worth the money
This sounds like a lot of fun, glad your son enjoys playing with it.
