Castlevania: Portrait Of Ruin By Sam Rockwell By Sam Rockwell on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is the latest installement of the popular sidescroller genre from Konami. POR plays exactly like it's predecessars since the 1997 underground hit Symphony of the Night, minus a couple exceptions. You now have the ability to switch out between two different characters, each with their own stash of equipment, spells, and weapons. Unfortunatly, the story really revolves around only of the the protagonists, and you'll be using him throughout most of the game. The graphics are stunning with great 2D animations for every good and bad guy, taken in front of 3D backgrounds. The music isn't quite as memorable as other Castlevania's, but always at least above average. Overall, a great addition to an already lengendary series.
