I bought this in TJ Maxx a while ago. I'd say it is around 4 years old. It took me until now to realize that this cat decoration with a hole in its head is really a vase. Up until tonight, I thought it was some nifty, decorative, organizational tool. In fact in the past, I used to use it to store my letter opener. Now, my ceramic cat lives on my bookcase.

When I was in TJ Maxx, I browsing and I was shocked to see a ceramic-twin of my cat. I had to have it! The sticker under the cat said the price was $4.99, compare at $8.00.

This is a product made by Nina Lyman/Cats by Nina. Basically, the reason I know now that this is a vase is because I wanted to find out if Cats by Nina or Nina Lyman had a website.

In fact they do: Cats by Nina and Nina Lyman.

I saw similar products as mine on there. These products were titled "vases". I even saw a random picture with flowers placed in the hole, so it looked like there were flowers coming out of the cat's head (Example). Very cute and kooky!

I am unsure of the exact material of the vase since it does not say. It feels like ceramic and it is 8" tall.
