Cedar Point

Reviewing: Cedar Point Cedar Fairs

Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky Ohio is one of the premier amusement parks in the country. It is located in Northern Ohio, in between Toledo and Cleveland.

There is no other place in the Midwest like Cedar Point. The rides are amazing, each year they introduce another major monster, living up to their name of "America's Roller Coast". They have the Millennium, which takes people up higher than the Statue of liberty and drops them at a 80 degree angle straight down! Or the Top Thrill Dragster, flying off the ground at speeds near 100 mph, and dropping you over 300 feet straight down-there is not another rush around like that one!

The accommodations are around the park and also in there-it is not a huge variety, but there are simple to pricey available. For a family, I would recommend an offsite locale and driving the 10 minuets or so in to the park. There is no childcare service in the park, so it is not an applicable category really.

The food choices, although numerous, are probably some of the most expensive I have ever seen at a park or amusement center. They average simple meal-drink, burger and fries is going to set you back about 12.00 or more. There is a good selection of food eateries, including barbecue and even a buffet!

There are other areas to pay for, including miniature golf and a water park-so it can get a bit expensive overall. But the park itself is more than enough to keep anyone busy for the day-there are so many rides and choices out there it is hard to not be entertained the whole of the day.

I highly recommend this as a fun place for both young and old to go and have a good time as a family.

Top Thrill Dragster would probably scare me to death, LOL! :)

I'm not a roller coaster person, but I have been to Cedar Point many times and enjoy all the other rides and attractions.

I have been to Cedar Point many times. It has always been a great place to take the family. We usually take a picnic lunch and then buy food for dinner in the park. They have a great picnic area for you to enjoy the food you bring into the park. They have storage lockers for a small fee too.

I'm working hard to keep my vow to never go to another amusement park again. That said, CP is the only one I might ever consider. It had (and I hope it still does) way at the back, a retro handcraft village with a glass blower, weaver, blacksmith, and other little shops like that. I retreated there whenever I could and let the family make themselves sick on the rides.

Cedar Point is a great place to go with your family! When I lived in Michigan we tried to hit that park every year, or at least every other year. Unfortunately though I haven't been there since they put in the new Dragster. I hear it's great though!

When we go to the local county fair, I opt for the crafts and agriculture displays, while the rest of the family heads to the rides. Bet they would love Cedar Point.

I have always wanted to try this place but can't really see paying the extra money and driving the extra distance to stand in long lines all day.
