Chain Of Fools By TwentyEight on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is the soundtrack album from the 1991 movie of the same name. The movie was about a start-up band in Dublin Ireland and their trials and tribulations. It was a good movie but not very popular in the US.

The soundtrack of The Commitments is great. Even though the songs are covers of the original songs they are done with quality and feeling. The tracks are:

Mustang Sally

Take Me To The River

Chain Of Fools

The Dark End Of The Street

Destination: Anywhere

Can't Stand The Rain

Try A Little Tenderness

Treat Me Right - Otis Redding

Do Right Woman Do Right Man

Mr. Pitiful

I Never Loved A Man

In The Midnight Hour

Bye Bye Baby

Slip Away

In 2005 'The Commitments' was voted the best Irish film of all time in a poll sponsored by Jameson Irish Whiskey.

If you were into the music of the 60 and 70s you will probably like this album. If you rent the DVD you will almost certainly want to buy it. Be aware that a single well known expletive is used 145 times in this 113 minute movie.
