Champion C9 Great Comfy Shoes For Work By crunkyjens on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Black shoes are a staple for my uniform for where I work. I only had one pair of black shoes that I wore everyday, as I live in Florida so when I am not at work or working out, I live in sandals. The other morning I forgot to put my work shoes up where my dog couldn't get at them so when I came home from running to the store real quick I was welcomed with a nice little surprise. One of my work shoes was no longer at the bottom of the stairs, but up in the living room shredded to pieces, courtesy of my wonderful little doggy.
So off I went to Target today to pick up a new pair of black shoes before I headed into work. Can you tell Target is another one of my favorite stores besides Ikea and Victoria's Secret? :o)
These pair of little black Champion tennis shoes caught my eye right away. The actual model is C9 - Black Mary Janes. What I thought was very unique was that they had a tiny little teal blue colored strip on both sides of the shoes in the back. There is a little elastic strap near the top of the foot that has velcro on it so you can make the shoe tighter or looser to your liking. They are also slip on shoes, which is perfect for me as I sit at a desk for 12 hours at work so I tend to like to slip my shoes off from time to time.
I have had the shoes on now for about 8 hours and they are still just as comfy as when I first put them on. They are also very comfortable to walk around in, although the longest I've walked has probably been 5-10 minutes when I took my dog out on my break, so as far as how they would do on a Disney park marathon or something I can't advise on that. But I'll stick to my regular tennis shoes for adventures like that.
These shoes are great for work in my opinion and I think they would even look cute with a dark pair of jeans on a day spent out shopping. I also think they were a bargain too for being just over $20!
Champion C9 Purchased at: Target Price: $22.99

Great price! I have a pair of Skechers that sound like they might be similar, except without the teal stripe. I'm glad you found comfy ones -- that's the hardest part for me. Nothing affordable seems to fit! I'll look for these (and Target, or "tar-jay"! is one of my favorite stores too! I always buy more than I'd intended. Good thing I don't have a credit card there -- they keep trying to get me to apply, and I keep saying no; I'm sure the interest is around 25%!)
Sounds like my dog she went through about 3 pairs of black loafers when she was younger. lol Thankfully they were cheap shoes lol.
I love all the shoes from Target... I think that whole store is awesome. ..
Glad you found a better pair. Dogs must think that shoes are scooby snacks. Been there, done that!
Good bargain there for such a pair of nice and comfy shoes. Thanks for sharing that diggy story with us.
Comfy shoes and a bargain price. What more could you ask for? Thanks
