My brother-in-law loves to work on cars, so for his birthday my husband and I got him a Channellock 136 piece mechanic's tool set. This set has a lifetime warranty and comes in a sturdy heavy plastic case that has a handle to make it easy for transporting.
My brother-in-law was very pleased with this set of tools. I don't know much about mechanic's tools myself, but this seemed like a pretty nifty set to me, and I'm judging by his reaction to it that my brother-in-law felt the same.
The set comes with 12 3/8" drive 6 pt. standard sockets, 12 3/8" drive 12 pt. standard sockets, 12 1/2" drive 6 pt. standard sockets, 8 3/8" drive 6 pt. deep wall sockets, 20 1/4" drive 6 pt. standard sockets, 10 full polish combination wrenches, 3 3/8" drive accessories (which are 2 spark plug sockets and 1 3" extension bar), 3 full polish quick release ratchets, 1 cushion grip magnetic bit driver, 1 2 and 1/4" bit extension and 44 1" driver bits with holders. All tools are well constructed and carry that lifetime warranty.
If you are a mechanic or know of someone who is, I think this tool set would be of great value. I know my brother-in-law is very happy with it.

very perfect tool set..... can be use to open many things
Quality is everything with tools. I'd ratther pay $120 for a good set, or $30 for the cheapy. Sounds like a good socket set.
