Tim Burton has recreated the film classic "Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory," with an updated cast and dynamic special effects. Johnny Depp has been cast as the eccentric chocolatier Willie Wonk (Gene Wilder played him in the original movie).

The story revolves around a poor young boy named Charlie and the struggles of his extended family. Willie Wonka creates a promo to invite a group of children to his factory for a tour. He has more in mind than just giving a tour, you'll have to watch the film to see what he is up to.

Not only the characters have been updated. The ompaloopa's have lost their bright, orange faces and look like a little middle aged man. The soundtrack has also been updated, with a more modern flare. The songs are catch and I actually bought the CD for my kids.

To be honest I really like this version and would recommend it to adults and kids alike.
