Charolette's Web: The Best Family Film By Alicia Bodine on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My daughter got the new Charolette's Web DVD for Christmas. This version is just about the same as the one I saw when I was a kid except that it was not a cartoon. The movie stars Dakota Fanning and I think she is fabulous and professional in all the movies she is in.

The movie seems to be all about the pig, but is named after the spider. Charolette spells words in her web to let people know Wilbur (the pig) is special. In the end of the movie Charolette passes away, but not before Wilbur and his sidekicks get her baby spider eggs safely back to the farm. Of course Charolette has hundreds of babies, but only a few stick around leading the way for Charolette's Web 2.

I should also mention this film won Best Family Film of the Year at the Critic's Choice Awards.

This is a timeless classic and perfect for the whole family. Grab yourself a bucket of popcorn and enjoy getting to know Wilbur, Charolette, and all their friends.

This is a great classic, I would love to see this again, with real actors and actresses, and animals too!
