My husband owned a Discover card for almost 10 years and then we got an offer from Chase Visa that we couldn't pass up. First, let me say that we use our credit card for everything! Even most of our bills are paid with our card. Therefore we have a pretty hefty bill every month. We also pay it off every month so interest rates do not matter to us.
Now, back to the Chase REwards card. The offer we received was 5% back on groceries and gas, and 1% on everything else. That was not just a promotional offer. We've had the card for about 3 years and still receive those cashback rates. Especially with the way gas and groceries prices are going up, we earn a pretty good amount of moneoy back every month. This is definitely the best rewards card that I have ever used.

We have this too (have had our's for four years) & we are like you-we are still reaping benefits & getting rewards!!
Love those rewards, and as you pointed out, the interest doesn't matter if you pay it off every month.
