Cheap Guitars By Rodney Ray on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
The first Act electric guitar was purchased and given to me as a gift. The guitar has a nice feel, it's a little on the heavy side, it isn't uncomfortably heavy just notable. Great playability at an amazing price. Included in the package is an instruction / owners manual an amplifier patch cord a single nylon pick, it also come pre strung with their brand of strings, I found the strings to be OK but soon changed to my personally preferred brand. This would be a great guitar for a student or beginner, it is tough enough to be handled by very inexperienced players and even children. Would make a great gift for some one like me or anyone just starting out to learn to play. Overall I really like mine I honestly would have never bought one myself, until I was given this one as a gift, but I would now. This is one of those rare cases where the product is actually better than it appears to be on display, quite refreshing
First Act ME302 Purchased at: WalMart Price: 119.99

My son received the First Act Drum Set for Christmas this year, and we were very happy with the quality- it is good to know that they make other great instruments!
Our daughter got one of these for Christmas last year. The quality is quite good for the price. The sound is not bad either.
Thanks for the information. We are planning on starting my son, 10, in guitar lessons at the end of the year. We are going to get him a guitar for Christmas so we are looking at all available information to figure out the best one to buy for him. The weight might be a problem with this guitar for him. Thanks for sharing your info.
Good to know that cheap doesn't always mean not good. I think this sounds perfect for the starter student. I would love to learn to play the guitar. Not too sure about the weight of it. I think it might discourage students from continuing if it's too heavy.
This certainly sounds like a much better guitar then one my ex-husband purchased one time from Sears. Oh it was terrible. It is nice to see a nice guitar being sold at such an affordable price. Thanks for sharing this information.
