After graduating from college, the real world was brought into focus. The thing that I found out was that “it is really expensive”! My first order of business that brought me to this conclusion was purchasing checks at the bank for a new bank account. One of the ways that I tried to save money was looking online for cost effective choices but without reducing modern style.
There were many options on the internet but I was soon introduced to Checks In the Mail through a search engine. It was a little frightening at first, I have to admit, because your bank routing number does have to be given over the internet. But, being a risk-taker that has just graduated, I tried the service. I have not turned back from that day, the right choice was made.
CITM has many options to choose from online from more traditional lightly colored checks to more designed checks such as mine that have Hello Kitty on them. For me, besides having the option of Hello Kitty was the price. When I ordered by last batch of side-tear checks (100 in total) I paid around $8.00. In total, with shipping included, the price was only around $12.00 and this did not include the introductory rate. At a common bank, the price for 100 checks is closer to $50.00 when I looked last time.
It was a huge savings and was really painless. Simply go to the website and fill out your name and address and routing number for your normal bank account anywhere in America. Then, choose from hundreds of print choices and the process is completed. There is a customer service center to complete the purchase or it all can be done online. I chose to do everything online and it was really simple and only took around 10 minutes in total after I chose the print I wanted to use.
Then, in about one week I had my checks delivered by the general post office male-person to my doorstep. It was really simple and will save anyone money, I suggest this service to anyone!

I don't know why anyone would buy checks at the bank anymore, when you can get them at places like this so much cheaper!
I would be a little apprehensive about giving out my banking info over the Internet, too. Glad it worked well for you, and you did save some $$!
I have ordered my checks online for years and I know exactly what you mean about the crazy charges the banks make. I am so glad that there are more mail order companies to choose from these days because it keeps the prices low. I have used this company before too and was very satisfied with them. I get a different check design everytime I order but have not had the hello kitty ones yet.
" Hello Kitty" is still a favorite of mine and I am 37!! LOL Matter of fact I saw the Hello Kitty bank card at my bank today ;)
That sounds like a really nice way to order checks. I have had to order many from my bank due to moving and they are pretty expensive. Plus you have to buy a certain number (which I never use a lot of checks so it is pointless) so it is just overall a big waste. I will look into this next time. Thanks for being so informative!

This is great. Who wants to pay a bunch of money just so you can write on it to let more of your money go to someone else. They should pay us to write checks! Might look at this the next time I have to order. Thanks!
