Reviewing: Purina Soft Dog Food
Purchased at: Kmart     Price: $3.50 USD

I purchased this food not only for my dog, but I also donate alot to our local animal shelter. I had gotten a great deal on this food, more than enough for the shelter, so I decided to also start my dog on this. The food looked great, almost homemade. It contains hard morsels for the dog to clean and help their teeth, and also softer morsels that actually looked like real meat. The bag I purchased was a 3.5lb bag, it was approx $3.50. My dog is 45lbs, I needed approx 4 cups of food. I figured my dog would go through a bag every few days. Pricewise, not very affordable. The food is another story, if it was better for my dog, price would be no object. Unfortunately, the food did not agree with my dog. My dog loved the food, my dog's stomach did not. I understand that any change in a dogs diet, you will notice a differance. I felt like I had given my dog enough time for her body to accept the change. Immediately when she started to eat the food, her bowels were not producting any solid waste. This went on for nearly 2 weeks. I did not feel that this was good for her. I took her off of the food and back onto a more solid food, a different brand than she had origianally had and she was back to solid in 2 days. Maybe your dog will have better luck with this food, but I won't be buying this again. I am even very hesitant to give this food to our local shelter. I expected much more out of this food coming from purina. Highly disappointed.
