Even though it says fun through play while learning science but this toy is a great dispapointment to me and my students while thinking that it will be a great teaching aid to stir my younger students' interest in chemistry experiments. Despite of supervising them in the science club activity to try out this science toy, the results did not turn out as they are supposed to be!! The toy is more of introducing younger children to laboratory chemicals packed inside those tiny bottle and also accuracy in measurements using those micropipettes. It also has a booklet to features their step by step experiments guide for kids to follow.
Pro: It is safe to use and the guide book is written in simple language instead of those difficult scientific terms.
Cons:It is costly because the chemicals that comes in the box are too little and with the limited amount we do not get results that we are supposed to get even though we had followed the instructions given right to the dot. Hence making the kids disappointed in the process of doing experiments with this science toy.

Sounds like a good warning to parents or teachers who are thinking about trying this.
I also noticed just about all the Chemistry sets I have come across have been very weak products. I we can't get the thing we got as kids, but I have seen kits with absolutely no chemical components just paper and cardboard.
Wow, that's a real let-down coming out of the Smithsonian catalog. But they're not really known for science, either.
