Chi Flat Iron By Allie63078 By allie63078 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I rarely splurge on expensive purchases, but after trying several flat irons that just didn't work really well on my hair, I decided one day to take the plunge and invest in a good flat iron. After getting my hair cut one day at Regis, I asked the stylist what a good flat iron would be. He told me that they were running a special on the Chi flat irons so I checked it out. My draw just about dropped when I saw the price, but after thinking about all the times I'd tried to flat iron my hair with brands I'd gotten from Walmart or Target, I decided to go ahead and get it.

From the first time I tried it, I loved it. It heated up very quickly and was easy to use. It is thinner so it was easy to get close to the roots and flattening my hair only took a few minutes to do. Then, it stayed straight and silky smooth the rest of the day. Trust me, my hair tends to go crazy in the humidity here in the south and my hair never once got frizzy or curly the rest of the day.

My only complaint is that there is no way to lock the hot iron shut after use and there is only one heat setting. Other than that, I think it is a very good investment for someone who uses a hot iron regularly.
