Chi Flat Iron Tames Curls By eagle on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My teenage daughter has very thick curly hair that she likes to occasionally straighten for a change of pace. Because her hair is so naturally beautiful, I didn't want to risk chemically straightening it. I finally gave in and spent the money for a salon quality flat iron. The first time I used the CHI I thought something was wrong with it because it got so hot. I actually burned my hand just holding it. I learned to hold it only down on the hinged end because even the outsides of the paddles heat up. This is the only thing I don't like about this flat iron. That being said, this iron does an incredible job on her hair. I don't have to go over and over it, which would be damaging to her hair. One swipe and it's straight. And it remains straight for days (until she gets it wet again). The CHI heats up very quickly, which is a time-saver.
