Chicago Cutlery Serrated Knife By Chefmom on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am a serious cook, and so is my husband. In our experience, you just can't have a good cooking experience without really good knives. And we absolutely love Chicago Cutlery. Yes, they can be expensive, but -- in this case -- you certainly get what you pay for.

The serrated bread knife is by far my favorite, although I have several other Chicago Cutlery knives. My family loves good, fresh bread, and nothing cut fresh bread like a serrated knife. You get a clean and even cut, even if the bread is piping hot. (Or even if the bread is old!).

The blade is ten inches. The handle, made of solid walnut, makes the entire knife 15 inches long. I have had this particular knife about ten years, and it has never rusted. The company recommends hand washing, so I have never put it in my dishwasher.

You can't beat the quality of Chicago Cutlery. Just be careful! This knife is so great, you might cut your finger. I know that firsthand!
