We all know the clarinet- the beautiful playing instrument that is popular among many middle and high school bands. Scores of people have played it, but behind all the beautiful sounds lies the hard working reeds.

The reed produces the sounds; without the reed, the instrument can't play a single note. There are many companies who make reeds, like Rico (the worst reeds, in my opinon, are their reeds, they sound atrocious), but the best reed company in the music field without a doubt is definitely Vandoreen. They produce the V12 line of reeds for students that are advancing to the intermediate. For serious musicians however, the Black Masters are incredible.

Since my reeds were a gift, I don't know the exact price of them, just that they're really expensive, but they are the best in the world for any clarinet. They produce the most gorgeous sounds ever and are the best reeds ever. The downside, however, is that they are too expensive!
