Children's Disney Eyeglasses By kalar on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
When my son was one year old, my husband and I were told he would need glasses to correct his far-sightedness and to help with other eye problems he was born with. Since my husband and I both wear glasses, we were not too surprised. We were, however, skeptical about putting glasses on a curious and rambunctious one year old boy.
When we went to pick out frames, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Disney Eyewear provided a decent selection of small child frames for both boys and girls. I had had fears of ugly glasses with elastic headbands to keep them on, but after looking over the choices, I could see that our little one would be stylish and hip.
The Disney Eyewear 153ct glasses are a copper and brass colored wire frame with what I would describe as "fat oval" lenses. They have c-hook ear pieces that wrap around my son's ears, so he can keep them on in spite of his little nose.
The frames themselves are highly flexible, and withstood every test my one year old put them through, including an insistance on putting them on himself.
Since boys will be boys, we did have to take the glasses in for frequent readjustments due to sleeping in the glasses, falling, wrestling and just generally being a boy. The flexibility and sturdiness of the frames allowed for perfect readjustment every time they were taken in.
Glasses, even for little ones, are not cheap, but with Disney Eyewear, parents will definitely get their money's worth from these stylish and fun frames.

This is so great that your little one has no problems with the quality of the glasses. I would think will all the rough play little boys get into that they would have broken by now. Goes to show you what great quality these glasses are. I like that they wrap around his little ears instead of the head strap. What a cutie he is too !
Sorry to hear about your son's eye condition. With kids so small , it is a big task to look for them good quality specs that can withstand their rough handling . Gald that you find one.
Your son is soooo darn cute! His glasses are perfect for him and look like they belong... This is saying a lot for a child's pair of glasses, imo.
I have a very small head, and have actually tried on some of the Disney frames myself. When I finally do have to get real glasses (as opposed to drugstore ones), I'll be looking at Disney frames.
These really look like they are quite durable as we know how rough kids can be with glasses!!!
Love these few features: c-hook ear pieces that wrap around your son's ears, so he can keep them on in spite of his little nose, highly flexible frame that can withstand every test an one year old can put them through . Great spectacles for small children and the price is reasonable too. By the way, your son looks soooooooooooooo cute, can I hug him?
These are really great glasses and they look great on your little boy.
He looks so cute! Boys are a challenge-especially in glasses! Glad to hear that Disney offers great ones!
How cute.
