I was at Walgreens and saw a display for these new lip butters. There are two varieties, Dark Chocolate & Cherry and Dark Chocolate & Peppermint. Since they were only $2.99 each I grabbed both of them. I love foodie items and normally really love palmer's cocoa butter line of products, so I expected these to be great. Unfortunately, I am a bit underwhelmed with both of them. I'll start with the cherry version and review the peppermint one separately.

First off, the smell is great. It isn't overly strong or fake, but just a nice hint of chocolate covered cherries. It also feels good going on and seems like it would be nice and moisturizing. The problem is that it lasts for about two seconds and then disappears into the night. The way I need to keep reapplying this it will be gone very soon. Fortunately for the price I can just keep buying more, but I would prefer if it stayed on longer. On the plus side, it comes in a nice tube that travels well and it gives me a little chocolate kick when I use it.
