Chocolate Island By donnabc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I just love this book! But then it's about chocolate so, who wouldn't? My son started readin gin K4 but I'll have to tell you, he couldn't read this book until he was in first or second grade. It is advertised for age 4 to 7 but, the younger age MUST be for adults to read to their child. At any rate, like all the young puzzle adventures, this is an excellant book. The story is imaginative, funny, and beautifully written. My son enjoyed the colorful and sometimes hilarious illustrations. But, what I like most about this book is that he is learning reading comprehension without even knowing it! How cool is that? As you read through the story, about every other page has a riddle, maze, question etc. But, without listening or paying attention to the story, you can't answer the cool riddles. This is an excellant way to make learning and reading FUN!
