Christmas Babies! By Jan Mayrhofer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This little board book is just the kind of book that little babies love to "read" over and over again. Babies always seem to enjoy looking at pictures of other babies. In this Jingle Babies Christmas book for babies, all the little ones are dressed up in funny little Christmas costumes, in much the style of Anne Geddes' baby photos and books.
This book by Tom Arma has no plot, of course, it being a baby book, but just a little rhymy text.
My one year old grand daughter, Samantha, finds it easy to turn the pages all by herself, and does just that - forward and back and back and forward.
The babies in the photos are really cute and the costumes, though a bit absurd, are entertaining for the little ones.
I sometimes think, "Now, why didn't I think about putting a book like this together?" But I think it is probably harder than it looks to get good shots of the babies once you have finally gotten them into their costumes. And the making of the costumes has got to be time consuming. In this case, it seems to have paid off for the author because he has produced a really lovable little book.

LOL - I love the little Santa baby. These remind me of the Kaanapali Hotel in Hawaii and every year they would send us a Christmas card of their babies and dress them like this. Then, the 3rd year they did it, none of the babies would sit still and most all were crying, so they took the picture anyway and it was the vest Christmas card every! It is very hard to get them all to sit still like that. Very cute.
What a cute little book to read during the holidays.
Such a cute book!
