Christmas With the Pillsbury Doughboy
By Zula onYears ago, I ordered these cute Pillsbury Doughboy Christmas stockings from the Pillsbury Company. At the time, consumers could collect Doughboy points from Pillsbury products and redeem them for Pillsbury Doughboy merchandise. The cost to the consumer was shipping and handling only. Unfortunately, the Doughboy points program was discontinued in 2006.
The red and white shimmering plush fabric stockings feature a three dimensional Poppin Fresh Doughboy on the front of the stockings. The quality of the plush fabric is excellent and the construction is very well done. Each stocking is approx. 14" tall and approx. 7" wide. They were officially licensed by Pillsbury and dated 1999.
Since the stockings were only available from the Pillsbury Company for a limited time, the secondary "collectible" market value is approx. $20-25 each. Today, they may be found at antique malls, estate sales, toy shows, on-line collector markets and through Pillsbury Doughboy Collector's Clubs.
Originally, I planned to keep the stockings as collectibles, so I had them stored away. This year, I thought it might be fun to hang the stockings for my husband and myself during the holidays. Why did I wait so long? These lovable little guys are sure to bring happiness and smiles to everyone!

These are really cute. I have some Doughboy collectibles myself.
Those are so cute - never saw them before. :)
So cute
We have these hanging up right now!!
