Chuck Palahniuk's Lullaby By Joelar on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Newspaper reporter Carl Streeter is assigned to do a piece on Infant Death Syndrome. In the course of his investigation he meets Helen Hoover boyle. A sarcasticly frigid yet somehow lovable real estate agent. Together they decipher an ancient magic that leads them on an anything but ordinary journey beyond logic and sane thinking. Once this book gets rolling you can't stop reading. The characters are not so interesting at first. But they become intricate pseudo-hero's you feel you shouldn't like but you do anyway (Chuck is good at this). The character's they meet along the way will annoy you and surprise you. So despite a slow but necessary begining this is a great read.
