Chutes And Ladders By Mary Lynn By MaryLynn on - Updated Sep 26, 2011
I found a game for my daughter that has skills for her to learn or use. Chutes and Ladders is a fun game that uses their counting and recognition of numbers to play the game. It requires 2-4 players and is for ages 3 years old and up. To play the game you will spin the spinner and move the amount of spaces that you land on. If you land on the bottom of the ladder you will climb the ladder for advancement to the game. If you land on a chute you will slide down, loosing spaces. If you land on a blank space or a space with just and arrow, you do nothing. Me and my daughter love to play this game and we turn it into a math learning experience. You can teach the skills of addition and subtraction as you go along. She likes it because it is easy to learn the rules and has a spinner instead of the traditional cards for games. We have a lot of fun with it and each game usually takes about 5 minutes for us to complete, so we end up playing about 8 to 10 games at a time. We use this time as mommy and daughter time.
