Citadels Card Game

Citadels is a card game where the players take on different roles each hand. There are eight different characters in the original game and more in the expansion which now comes free with the original card game. You take turns secretly picking out your character. There is some surprise and some predictability as the first person to picks knows more than the last one to pick. The order to pick changes during the game. You pick a different character ranging from assassin, thief, warlord, king, bishop, architect, merchant, magician. each character has a different ability. you either pick a player to kill, steal, destroy a district, get extra gold and more. You build your district in front of you. First player to build eight districts ends the game. then points are counted up and the player with the most points wins.
this game is a lot of fun and can be played quickly. This is a fairly easy game to learn.

This does sound like fun. I like role games, but sometimes you don't want them to go on for a lifetime!
I've never heard of a role playing card game! This sounds really interesting, and a nice break from more traditional card games:)
This is a new one on me-it kind of reminds me of Clue but in fantasy form!
My son loves this type of role playing game. I will recommend this one to him.
