Citibank Credit Cards By Snicker on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I am on a debt reduction program, so I don't condone the use of credit cards. I do have to say that getting out of debt has been helped by Citibank Credit Cards. They have the best balance transfer offers that I've seen with any other credit cards.
Many different cards that are offered by this bank provide a 0% balance transfer rate for up to a year for new customers. In addition, there is no balance transfer fee! This is the tricky part because most people only think about the interest rate that is being offered and don't see that most credit card companies charge 3% to 5% of your balance to transfer for you. Depending on the money your are moving to the credit card, this can be very costly.
If you're looking for a 0% introductory interest rate, with no balance transfer fees, I'd look no further than Citibank!
Citibank Credit Card

Snicker you made an important point about balance transfer costs. Yes they can really hurt! You are on the right track to becoming a savvy consumer:)
Citibank credit cards' offers are really great.. I tried their "call for cash" and "bills payment" and happy with it.. Balance Transfer is a big help but you're right when you mentioned about the additional charges.. :(
Good info to know, I didn't realize they can charge a % of the transfer as a fee.
Great information on this card. I am looking to transfer a balance of one of my high interest cards that I am trying to pay off. I will definately be looking at Citibank - thanks!!!
Wow, thanks for the information. We were just talking today about transfering my husband's high (21%) interest credit card debt to my 5% Discover card. But I'll have to check into Citibank now...0% would be even better :0)
You are absolutely right about the high cost for balance transfers-I applaud you for consolidating your debt!
I love citibank until the day they charge me for credit shield which comes into my bill without my consent, luckily they have cancelled it after I email, fax , and ring them
We have also been happy with our Citi cards.
Congratulations on your quest to pay down your debt! Yay Snicker!
Seems like this would be a great credit to keep on hand in case of emergency.
