Citizens Auto Finance
By Kakoa onA few years ago we decided to buy a "new" SUV. It was new to use, but at the time it was a year old and slightly used. We found the one we wanted and took out a loan. All the paperwork was done at the dealership the same day we said we wanted the SUV. I'd say it only took about 10 minutes from the time we filled out all the paperwork until the time we were approved.
Citizen's Auto Finance has been great to us even since we started with them. We got a very good interest rate (can't remember the exact %) and it has not changed since the day we signed. We took out a 5 year loan, which makes our payments every month very reasonable. It's nice to know the payment amount is always dependably the same every month too!
I have only had to contact the company one because I moved out of state and needed a copy of my title. They we very helpful and said it would take up to 2 weeks for the DMV to get it. To both the DMV and my surprise, the title was at the office in about 5 days!
The thing I like best about this company is that as long as you pay your bill each month, they aren't too picky about when the check gets to them. I have sent out payments that were due 3 days before I sent them, but they have never contacted me or added a late fee. They do make the due date a bit close to when I receive the statement in the mail though. I usually only have about 7-10 days to get it back fore it would be late.

Hmmm. I've never heard of this company before. Thanks for the information. We'll probably be getting another car in a year or two. I am really not looking forward to another car loan:0(
I think this company is a great one too. I agree with you on the mailing of their bills. It seems to come just about a week before it's due. I find that paying it online (since I bank with them anyways) helps me remember to pay it on time, instead of waiting for it to arrive in the mail!
I pay everything on line so if it's late I can't blame the post office, just me! I'm glad you had such a fast and easy financing transaction in buying your SUV and hope you enjoy it for many years to come.
Wow only 10 minutes to get an auto laon approved that's amazing. I have financed the last 2 on my own through my bank but I do remember going to car lots in the past and it taking them hours to get it all in an approved.
I used this company to finance my min van. It was a very quick approval. They do seem to mail the statement just about a week before it's due. I think I will be paying it online or at my bank, Charter One. I didn't know you could pay at my bank, but turns out they are the same company. So if it comes too close to the due date, I just go to the bank and give them my check.

This sounds like a pretty nice company. It is hard to find any place that is easy to deal with anymore. I can't stand late fees. Luckily our bank doesn't charge late fees either and gives us a 15 day grace period. Love it!!
never had an auto loan through this company, but we probably be looking for a different minivan soon and will have to get an auto loan. That is nice about the grace period.
It sounds like you had/have a wonderful relationship with them!! I love the fact that they do not charge late fees...sign me up!
