My daughter just received Tinker Toys for her birthday! I remember these toys from when I was a kid and they were so great to play with. The Tinker Toys still have the same great wood construction and now they have added some plastic pieces to enhance the set...I think the plastic is new because I do not remember this from when I was a kid. I think the Tinker toys are awesome because they really allow a child to be creative and think up new building and design...my one complaint is that for the price you pay you really do not get a lot of tinker toys. It is hard to build anything spectacular due to the small amount of actual tinker toys that you get. Honestly I do not think my daughter knew the difference ....it was more disappointing to me and my husband. I think it is still overall a wonderful product...I would just recommend buying the larger set or maybe 2 of the smaller set.
