Reviewing: Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control
Purchased at: Wal Mart     Price: $20.00 USD

I may be alone in my review of this product because I've heard nothing but good things from other people and other reviews but I personally could not give a good rating. I bought this more as a preventative because I don't really have acne, just an occasional breakout. From the very first time I used to cleanser it burned my skin horribly and would leave my face literally as red as a tomato for hours! I wrote to the company and according to them it doesn't sound typical (not that I actually expected them to tell me it did) but my feelings were that I'd expect an acne cleanser to be a bit more gentle than this appears to me. It's a three step system and I can use the other two steps just fine (step#2-moisturizer, step#3-spot control) but step #1 makes me look like I fell asleep on the beach from sun up til sun down. To be fair I have very sensitive skin, so perhaps the product isn't meant for people with sensitivities...but at the same time I would figure that people with acne need a certain measure of sensitivity as well.

I agree. what are the ingredients in Clean N Clear? It seems to me that somewhere in there is something you need to avoid totally. Many of these facial care manufacturers are simply interested in exploiting huge markets, like acne products and don't really pay heed to the minority that encounter problems. If they have a toll free number, I'd call them.

I have tried the Clean and Clear products and agree that it is not for the sensitive skin. It did burn me as well. Though it sounds as if you had a much worse encounter with this product and I'm sorry to hear that.
