Clean Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent Review By jrm5035 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I recently purchased Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent, as I have extremely oily skin. It contains .5% Salicyic Acid, which is one of my main reasons for buying it. Despite this, I would say the produt is not overall effective. My skin, despite repeated use, is still generally extremely oily, and at times it seems to have accelerated / irritated the process. Another main annoyance about the product is the lack of an applicator. Even some sort of useful tip on the end of the bottle would have been nice. Overall, I would have to suggest sticking to the Nutrogena or CVS-generics of them, rather than the Clean&Clear line; this is my third time buying one of their products, an dit being a relative failure. I feel as though straight rubbing alcohol is more effective; a sad statement when comparing it to something that costs far more.
