Cleaning Is A Breeze By balentine2 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When my old stove started acting up, I knew it was time to buy a new one. I also knew that I wanted a glass top stove. I looked on the Internet at different models and then my husband and I went to Lowes to see what they had.

We chose the Tappan 30-inch Electric Range with a glass cooktop. This stove is wonderful. No more trying to clean spills out of the grills like my old stove. Now I just wipe the top with a damp rag. If it does get something on it that won't come off with a simple wipe, I use a special cleaner for glasstop stoves.

I also love that the oven is self-cleaning. Just push the button and 3 hrs later I have a clean oven without have to stand on my head trying to clean it by hand.

The controls on this stove are a combination of digital and mechanical. The burners are controlled by dials and the oven, timer and clock are digital. The cooktop has 4 radiant burners; one 9", one 8" and two 6" inch. The oven has a window and light so I can check my food without opening the door and losing heat. There is also a drawer at the bottom I use to store some of my bakeware.

This stove is 47 3/4 in. high, 29 7/8 in. wide and 25 3/4 in. deep. It came with a 1 year warranty on parts and labor. We have had it for two years and it works as good as the day we bought it. I highly recommend the Tappan brand of stove. They are quality products at a resonable price.
