When we bought our house, some of the carpets were in pretty bad shape. We have replaced alot of the flooring but the carpets in the bedrooms were still in good shape so we decided to keep them but they needed to be shampooed. I found this Dirt Devil Easy Steamer Deluxe at Meijers for around $100 so I decided to give it a try. Dirt Devil was a name I knew and trusted and I thought the price was very reasonable.

I have used this Dirt Devil numerous times over the last 2 years, mainly in my sons' room. It usually does a very good job of getting out any dirt and stains they may have on their carpet. The only problem I have had is if they get a stain, say a spilled soft drink, and don't tell me about it, it sometimes takes a lot of work to get the stain out.

The reservoir that holds the carpet shampoo and the hot water holds 1 gallon of water and is very easy to fill and attach to the cleaner. The reservoir for the dirty liquid lifts right off and clicks back on very easily. The filter comes out of the dirty water reservoir for easy cleaning, just run it under clean water and reinsert.

This cleaner has a 25 ft. power cord, which is enough to do most rooms. It has a 12 amp vacuum that gets your carpets dry quickly. It has 5 cleaning brushes and cleans in forward and reverse. It has a 8 ft. attached hose and cleaning attachment for upholstery and stairs. I have also used this to clean my cars upholstery. It is very lightweight and easy for me to move around the room.

This carpet cleaner comes with a full 2 year warranty. We have had it for over 2 years and have not had any problems so far. If you are looking for a good, affordable carpet cleaner, I recommend giving the Dirt Devil Easy Steamer Deluxe a try.
