Clear Bumpers Saved My Art Glass Sun-Catcher
By Joan Young onThese clear, sticky-back pads protect without looking unsightly.
For my birthday, a good friend gave me a lovely hand-made art glass sun-catcher of a heron standing in a marsh.I have it hanging in the window above my desk. However, when the window is open and the breeze is coming from a certain direction the edge of the glass rectangle would bang against the window pane.I was getting concerned that one or the other might chip or break. So I decided to go buy some small felt pads to cushion the corners of the sun-catcher.
When I got to the store I was delighted to discover that there were clear, gel-filled sticky pads which would accomplish the same thing, and not detract from the look of the art piece.
I bought the 3/8 inch ones, but they also came in one larger size. They come in a sheet of 20, and you just peel off the ones you want and stick them on.What could be easier?
The package suggests using them for stereos, TVs, and picture frames.
These little doodads have completely solved my problem, because now the glass is cushioned, and cant bump glass-to-glass.
