Click Couch By Lifestyle Solutions By surfette on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
The holidays were approaching and we needed extra seating in the family room. Since some of our children live out of town, I had some kind of futon or sleeper in mind for overnight guests. I didn't want anything too bulky and of course, it needed to be sturdy and comfortable.
While browsing in the furniture section of our local Big Lots, I found exactly what I had in mind. I had never heard of a click couch before and was surprised at the ease of use. With just one quick click, the couch converted to a lounger and with one more click, to a sleeper. It had a nice sleek design and a faux suede micro fibre cover in a neutral beige color. The underside is black with brushed chrome legs.
I drove home and asked my husband to take a quick trip in the truck to look at this clever and comfortable piece of furniture. He was impressed with the sturdiness of this couch and how well it was made for the price. After thoroughly inspecting it, we brought it home. It comes in a very large box, so have a truck and a helper or two to transport. The assembly was easy, (just attaching the legs) but just a warning that when you open the box you will not find the legs at first glance. They are stored in a handy zipper compartment on the underside of the couch.
It seats three adults very comfortably, even my step-son who is 6'3" and 260 lbs. The cover is not only sewn on but has extra toggle buttons and tabs at all the stress points. The fabric washes off beautifully, so you really don't have to worry about spills. It also has a quick recovery, so the fabric doesn't wrinkle even after several hours of use.
We were really lucky that day because we got an extra $20.00 off on a one-day sale at Big Lots. Lifestyle Solutions has a wide variety of styles in your price range. Many stores, including Target, carry their products. You can get an idea of their vast product selection online as well.
You get a really nice piece of furniture for a "dorm room" price. It's not a futon . . . it's a Click Couch.
Lifestyle Solutions Click Couch Purchased at: Big Lots Price: $179.00 - $199.00

I want one! From the picture it almost looks like I could use it as a full time bed.
Oy, I got a slightly different model from the same manufacturer and it's been hell. The couch is nearly worthless after two years and spending $500 to buy it. The springs have broken in many places and stick out the back and sides. The foam doesn't provide a lot of cushioning anymore since it has receded from the springs and mid-section which cause lot of uncomfortable spots and some bruises if sat upon wrong. The cover is torn in some places and it looks shoddy.
