Clinique Superbalanced Makeup By Willow on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Clinique Superbalanced Makeup is marketed for those with combination skin: it claims to absorb skin oil where your skin is oily and moisturize it where your skin is dry. My face has these dry and oily spots, so I thought this could be a perfect, although expensive, makeup solution. I chose Fair out of the 24 available shades, which seemed to match my skin the best.

The foundation seemed to work very well when I first applied it; in fact, I loved everything about it - the color, the soft and light feel, the way it smoothly glides over the skin and covers pores. I had a very nice and natural looking makeup... but not for long. Some time later I noticed that dreaded shine on the oily parts of my face. For whatever reason, the oil absorbing part of the formula did not work for me. I could only wear this foundation for a short time and in cold dry weather.
