Clorox Green Works All Purpose Really Works! By Bosoxy on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When I first saw the commercial for Clorox Green Works cleaners on television, I was intrigued and curious.

I have slowly been changing over the products that my family uses to more natural, less chemical laden products so when I saw a big display of the products at BJs and a coupon in the BJs flyer, I checked them out. The ingredients of the cleansers look noticeably different than what I generally purchase and the scent is much lighter and more natural. (I will list the complete ingredients list for the All-Purpose spray at the end of my review for your convenience). I really do think that they could have done without a colorant in the bottle though… I mean if they were going to do it, why muck it up with added color?

I liked that the cleaners are not animal tested, are biodegradable, are bottled in recyclable containers and that the bottle has the seal of approval by the Sierra Club.

But would it work?

I would have to see…

I ended up adding the All-Purpose spray and Dilutable Cleaner to my basket.

This was a month ago.

Since then my family and I have used the Green Works All-Purpose spray for many things around the home and it has worked beautifully!

Although there is a separate glass cleaner, the All-Purpose cleaner can be used on glass and it works wonders on my bathroom mirror which tends to pick up spatters from the SoniCare toothbrushes that are in frequent use in the area. It cleans effortlessly and doesn't leave any streaks.

I also questioned how well it would do on the stove top. My stove is white. After cooking it is not so much white… The cleanser worked just as well as any hard core chemical cleanser that we have used in the past. It cuts through grease and spills.

I feel a lot better using these cleaners in my home. I feel that we are subjected to a lot of chemicals everyday and the less of them that I can bring into my home the better off we are… plus I feel really good about using a product that is better for our environment.

I know that there are other green products out there… but in the main stream market these products are out of site and I feel that Clorox may have just done a real lot of good by bringing such quality green products into the main stream market.

I'm very impressed with Green Works. Even the toilet bowl cleaner does a great job. I like the green color and feel it fits with the concept and the faintly herbal/lemony fragrance. Great job Clorox!

I have been thinking of making the switch over to these. I do currently use green friendly cleaning products but they are hard to find in my little grocery store. I usually have to go into the big cities to stock up on it. I have seen the Clorox green line at Target though! I think when my current stuff runs out I will try the Clorox new green line myself
