Coast Guard Legos
By donnabc onFor his birthday, my 9 year old got a gift certificate to Toys R Us that was burning a hole in his pocket. He wanted a hoppity hop but they did not have them, so instead, he migrated to the lego isle.
Out of all the different options, he chose these Coast Guard Legos because it is summer and he wanted some "summer legos" (Coast Guard = beach = summer, I guess).
While only one man comes with the kit, he comes with some really cool assessories including scuba flippers, a tank, mask, and radio. The 4WD has a boat trailer which attaches to the back of it and the little wave runner fits right on it.
The age rating is 5 to 12 which seems to be about right. My son is 9 now but he took these to afterschool and all the little boys seemed to enjoy playing with it (grade K-5 to 3rd).

I have played lego when young and now bought lego for my kids too. Lego is excellent and keeps busy for hours no doubt
Our teen boys still love Legos. They say there's something satisfying about building a thing then knocking it down LOL!
it's fun to see how legos has evolved from their very blocky pieces. those don't even look like legos, but actual cars!
you can't go wrong with legos at that age
This is similar to a Fisher Price adventure people set that our boys had long ago. It was one of their favorites.
My 8 year old LOVES legos. I don't remember buying this set yet. Sounds like something he'll really like though. Now off to find a set. :)
