Coconut's Cookbook Is Great For Girls By momincharge on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Coconut's Cookbook is published by American Girl. Coconut is the pet dog of the American Girl Today.

I purchased the cookbook as a gift for my daughter for her 10th birthday. We have now been using the cookbook for over three years and still enjoy the treats featured in the book.

All the recipes in the book are designed for use by pre-teen girls. They are easy to follow and have only a few ingredients. Our particular favorite is the Almond Toastie which is a warm, almond-flavored drink somewhat like a hot cocoa. It is a great warm treat on cold winter days. My daughter enjoys that she can get her own cookbook out, follow the recipe and make a treat for everyone.

We have tried many of the recipes in the book and have enjoyed them all.

A side benefit of the cookbook is that it encourages girls to learn to cook, follow directions and learn about kitchen measurements.

I would recommend Coconut's Cookbook to anyone with a pre-teen daughter.
