Coleman 1/3 Gallon Jug Keeps Your Beverage Cool By cnt24 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My teen daughter needed a water bottle for summer band camp. We ended up with the Coleman 1/3 Gallon Jug. She has been so happy with it she now takes it to school for drinks during class.

From the first time she used it, to present, her beverage stays cold all day. That says a lot because we get some really hot days here in Texas. Granted the kids are not marching all day. Just a few hours in the morning during summer band and now after school, but even the mornings are hot in Texas and afternoons are almost unbearable.

For a little variety, and dehydration prevention, we found that Propel Vitamin Water packages work perfectly with this Coleman jug. The Propel packs just enough powder in to fill her jug almost to the top.

I'm not too impressed with the screw top lid. If you don't get the threads just right it will leak. However, the lid for the drink spout is pretty tight and holds the liquid in. The pail handle holder seems a little flimsy but it has held for her so far.

For the money, and the benefit of having a cool drink on a hot day, this Coleman 1/3-gallon jug will be our jug of choice.
