When searching for camping supplies, I was looking for the best deal. We already had a cheap tent, but looking around for something to give us some light. So we were left with the option of A) a regular lantern, B) a battery operated lantern, and C) a rechargable. So after weighing the options, I had to go with C. I didn't want to pay for batteries or consumables of any kind.

So looking around, we checked out all the brands, and I had to go with the name I trust in camping supplies. So that left the option of the regular, or max series of their LEDs. The major difference to me was the brightness of the light. The max has a 3 setting switch, which on the highest setting is more than enough to light any size tent or a wide area outside. The charger is in a small compartment in the bottom of the lantern, and very easy to get out and use. We have used it probably about 10 times this year, and when not in use for camping, we keep it inside the house for if the power goes out, and we need light around us. Probably the best deal I've come across for an LED light, and will highly recommend this.
